Robert Pattinson’s Batman First Look Revealed By Matt Reeves

The Batman director and co-writer Matt Reeves shared a screen test of Robert Pattinson in the new suit on his personal Vimeo channel on Thursday. The first look of Batman’s suit was unveiled and it is garnering all the love online.

Pattinson plays Bruce Wayne in the upcoming movie. The 55-second video was shot in a dark room, with a closeup of the armour and the frame before it moves towards his face. Pattinson walks toward the camera in slow motion, revealing the metal bat-symbol embedded in his chest plate that looks positively mechanic. Then the camera pans up to indicate his shoulder armour and his cowl, that seems to be made of leather or another material.

In a January press release, Warner Bros. announced Pattinson will be playing “Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.”

“You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, one thing that’s improbably tough to urge into, therefore the ritual of getting in it’s pretty humbling. You’ve got 5 people attempting to shove you into one thing. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, I feel strong, I feel powerful, although I had to possess somebody compression my butt cheeks into the legs,’” said Pattinson.

The Batman is scheduled into theatres on June 25, 2021. Casting reported thus far includes Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. Also starring in the movie are Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham District Attorney Gil Colson, and Andy Serkis as Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler, Alfred.
