The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the Realme 5i will launch in India on January 9, 2020. Before launching in India, Realme has launched the handset in Vietnam.
The Realme 5i will be a watered-down version of the Realme 5i and it will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset itself, the upcoming 5i is also expected to come with a 10W charging support inside the box.
Realme 5i is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor and 5000mAh battery with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of expandable storage. It will run ColorOS 6.2 based on Android 9.0 Pie.
Realme 5i features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1600 x 720 pixels Full HD+ resolution. The display has 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio and is claimed to deliver 480 nits of peak brightness.
The device packs a quad rear camera setup that includes a main 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The phone will have an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.25 lens and a 118.9-degree viewing angle, a 2MP portrait camera, and a 2MP macro camera with 4cm close-up range. On the front is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Camera features include 4K video capture at 30fps, slo-mo video recording at 120fps, and super night mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, A-GPS, and micro USB 2.0. The Realme 5i flaunts a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for additional safety. It is expected to arrive in Blue and Green colour variants.
