JEE-Advanced 2020 will be held on 23 August 2020

JEE-Advanced examinations will be conducted on 23 August 2020, Union Human Resources Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced on Thursday.

Earlier this week, the ministry of HRD also announced the examination dates for this year’s JEE Main and NEET exams. The NEET examination is conducted for medical colleges and the JEE-Mains examination is held for admission to engineering colleges except IITs across the country. JEE Main will be held from July 18 to July 23 while medical entrance test (NEET) will be conducted on July 26.

JEE-Advanced is an entrance test for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The test will begin after the results for the second JEE (Main) are published.

Pokhriyal also announced that a decision would soon be taken on the pending Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and 12 board examinations.

Although states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have started to review their exam papers, other states are likely to do the same early.
