A piece of breaking news from Lucknow about bomb explosion took place at a Lucknow court compound on Thursday, near the district magistrate’s office and barely a kilometre from the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
The bomb exploded at around 11 am. One person is in very serious condition and two others have received minor injuries.
Sanjeev Kumar Lodhi, Lucknow Bar Association Joint Secretary was the target of this attack as he has been complaining about a few judicial officers, according to media reports.
Lodhi was taken to hospital for a medical checkup and injured persons have been sent to a nearby hospital. Lodhi demanded that the accused be brought to justice as soon as possible.
“10 men forcefully entered from both the sides of the court and started throwing crude bombs at Lodhi’s chamber. Mr Lodhi suffered injuries on his head. Four-five people were also carrying pistols,” Ashwini, Junior of Sanjeev Kumar Lodhi.
Additional DCP West Lucknow Vikas Chandra Tripathi said to PTI, “We received information about the explosion in the (court) complex, we have covered the area.” The police have identified one of the attackers as Jeetu Yadav.
