Arvind Kejriwal Holds Meeting With Amit Shah & Cabinet Ministers

Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Union Home Minister’s residence, just days after taking oath for the third time. He said that they had agreed to work together for the “development of Delhi”, adding that “it had been a good meeting held in a cordial atmosphere”.

After meeting with Amit Shah, Mr Kejriwal said the two decided to work together for the development of Delhi. “Met Hon’ble Home Minister Sh Amit Shah Ji. Had a very good and fruitful meeting. Discussed several issues related to Delhi. Both of us agreed that we will work together for the development of Delhi,” Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.

When asked whether they had discussed the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protest in the Shaheen Bagh area of the National Capital, the chief minister said that the issue had not been discussed.

Mr Kejriwal took oath in for the third time on Sunday, days after his AAP won an enormous victory in Delhi, almost repeating last time’s sweep. During his campaign, Mr Kejriwal had offered citizens a guarantee card with 10 promises. At a Delhi cabinet meeting, it had been decided that these promises would be tackled within a set time-line.

Mr Kejriwal held a meeting with his cabinet ministers and top officers today to discuss the implementation of the “10 guarantees”, including uninterrupted power supply and basic facilities for unauthorised colonies.
