The South Korean electronics conglomerate LG has started unveiling its 2020 soundbars and they have added something called AI Room Calibration to them. LG has announced that the upgraded soundbar range is designed to fit in perfectly with the company’s high-end 55-inch and 65-inch televisions.
This AI Room Calibration, together with content mastered in Dolby Atmos or DTS:X guarantees more optimized sound by automatically tailoring output to the specific characteristics of the room. These advanced models are self-calibrating, able to recognize and analyze tones to accurate irrespective of what kind of room you are in or how many speakers are hooked up to the main system or where they are placed.
“Our goal has always been to bring better sound to more people and by offering more great products that leverage our successful partnership with Meridian, our latest soundbars help achieve this,” said Park Hyung-woo, head of LG’s Home Entertainment company.
LG’s premium 2020 soundbars included the SN10YG, SN9YG, SN8YG, and the 7.1.4-channel SN11RG have 4K passthrough, eARC. The SN11RG is the top of the line, a 7.1.4 package with wireless rear speakers that can also project sound up for a true 3D effect.
