Six people who attended the religious gathering (Markaz) at Nizamuddin area of the national capital between March 13 and 15 died on Monday, have died of coronavirus in Telangana, according to Telangana Chief Minister’s Office.
More than 2,000 delegates, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan, attended the Tabligh-e-Jamaat congregation in Nizamuddin West from March 1-15.
The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office was further quoted as saying, “All those, who participated in Nizamuddin Markaz prayers in Delhi should inform authorities. The government would conduct tests for them and provide free of cost treatment.
Out of the six coronavirus related fatalities, two persons died at the Gandhi Hospital, others two died in private hospitals (Apollo Hospitals and Global Hospitals), and one each in Nizamabad and Gadwal towns, without mentioning the time of their deaths, according to a media report.
Until now, the district collectors ‘special monitoring teams have succeeded in finding many individuals who have come into close contact with the deceased and taken them into state hospitals.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ordered on Monday the registration an FIR against Markana’s Maulana, following the reported signs of coronavirus, to a major congregation in West Nizamuddin in South Delhi.
The Delhi authorities said that they would begin a home-to-house mapping train to investigate coronavirus conditions in two nearby colonies on Tuesday.
