Govt Can Announce Ram Temple Trust In A Week

The Ministry of Home Affairs is likely to announce formation of a trust to make a decision on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, within a week along with the offer for a 5-acre big plot for a mosque as per the orders of the Supreme Court. While giving this information on Tuesday, the officials said.

The Supreme Court, in its ruling on November 9, 2019, directed the creation of a belief in three months and giving 5-acre plot for building of the mosque to the Sunni Waqf Board, clearance the way in which for the development of the Ram temple.

The ministry has set the framework for the trust and identified the land to be offered to the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Waqf Board, the official added.

A devoted desk is being worked in the Union Home Ministry on all matters connected to Ayodhya and related court orders. The officer said that three officers, under the leadership of Additional Secretary Gyanesh Kumar, perform desk related duties.

The apex court had said the trust should be formed within three months for the construction of the temple at the site where many Hindus believe Lord Ram was born.
