Chennai-based two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company has entered the electric scooter space with the launch of iQube on Saturday, priced at ₹1.15 lakh (on-road, Bengaluru). The electric scooter was launched by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Deccan Herald reported.

TVS iQube is Equipped with 4.4 kw electric motor that offers 6bhp of power and 140Nm of peak torque. It can achieve a top speed of 78 kmph with a range of 75 kms on a single charge and accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds.
The emission-free scooter iQube is equipped with connected feature like TVS SmartXonnect. It comes with advanced TFT cluster and a TVS iQube app that offers various features like geofencing, remote battery charge status, navigation assist, last park location, incoming call alerts/SMS alerts etc. It gets LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and sports an illuminating logo near the motor.
The electric scooter comes with innovative features for delivering unmatched convenience such as Q-park assist (forward and reverse at speeds of up to 2 km/hr), multi-select economy and power mode, U shaped DRL, day and night display and regenerative braking and provides a noiseless and comfortable ride.
The vehicle is presently launched in Bengaluru across 10 dealerships. The electric scooter is available only in white colour and can be booked through the website and at select dealerships with a booking amount of ₹5,000.
